- A centralized design blueprint for ingestion and transformation across systems.
- Clarity on how financial entities such as deal, title, contract, and royalty relate across source systems.
- Reduction in tooling complexity and support for future cloud-native automation.
Stakeholder Working Sessions
We began with discovery workshops across key departments, including Business, Enterprise Technology, Customer Data Insights, and Data Analytics, to understand which data elements were most critical for the FDW Minimum Viable Product (MVP).
High-Level Architecture Design
Developed a Medallion Architecture using Databricks to illustrate end-to-end data flow from raw ingestion in the Copper Layer to refined, business-ready outputs in the Gold Layer. This design served as a foundational blueprint for scalable data transformation.
SOX Compliance Framework
Embedded recommended SOX-aligned controls within the architecture to support audit readiness.
Created a phased implementation plan
Outlining ingestion, transformation, governance, and reporting milestones along with target due dates and clearly defined ownership that ensured alignment with the goal of delivering the FDW MVP by February 2026, while supporting accountability across workstreams.
- Developed a comprehensive Technical Specification Document (TSD) with clear goals and MVP timelines (target: Feb 2026).
- Completed detailed data attribute mappings across key source systems:
- Licensing Platform – 45 tables/views
- Contract Management – 12 MVP-relevant views
- 3 internal data warehouses across departments
- Designed FDW architecture to support daily/near real-time refresh (vs. quarterly), enabling faster reporting.
- Established scalable foundational architecture for future source integrations and enterprise-wide data unification.
